Photo Scavenger Hunt

Rebecca and her cousin had a play date last week and they couldn't agree on what they wanted to do. One wanted to do this and the other wanted to do that. I would mention an idea and one person liked the idea but the other did not. This went on for quite a while until I suggested that they do a photo scavenger hunt. I came up with a list of things to look for and they had to take pictures of the items listed on the page. I sent them off with my old Olympus and this is what they came back with.

Find:

1 white cat
1 grey cat
1 orange cat (but don't get too close to it!)
1 pine cone
pink flowers
orange flowers
basketball net
1 red barn
a swing
a tired Christmas tree
a vine covered rock
a little red wagon
a yellow fire hydrant
a mailbox that looks like a house
the number 36

(They could not find the pine cone. Don't know why there are tons! And the orange cat.)

Scavenger hunts are a great way to entertain kids of all ages. If they are old enough give them a camera. If they are too young to read draw some pictures for them on a piece of paper and use that as their list. Walk around your neighborhood beforehand to see what they can look for.
