Hallooo from the land of tea and crumpets!

Jessica Gordon Ryan/The Entertaining House

Though I dare say I've seen way more prosecco and wine poured than tea... and people all over walking around with stemmed or cocktail glasses... more than bottled water and cups of Starbucks in the US... makes me really want to move back here. I think I could... move back here, that is. I'd fit right in... my American twang is already softening. My jeans are getting tight tho. Lordy are we being fed. And as I mentioned there's no shortage of cocktail in this land... Long live the UK and her Majesty, I say to that. But I need my running shoes. Not because I need the gym - as we've walked miles and miles - perhaps even to the moon and back... but because this daft girl got two massive blisters before I even got to the hotel... before the BlogTour even started! My comfortable shoes gave way at London Heathrow... on that bloody mile walk from the gate where we landed to customs... How could I've been so silly as to have forgotten about that day long walk? Oh well damage done. But, I shall tell everyone from here on in, never ever ever travel without your Dr. Scholl's blister band aids - (I don't think I can call them band aids... but you know what I mean.) These things are amazing. And if I had to forgo my morning cappuccino for these I would! Best $7 I have EVER spent in my LIFE. Now, if you're coming to the UK buy the blasted things in the States because our dollar has no value here at all. And a lousy box of bandages will end up costing you $14. Ridiculous. Right?! Unless your feet look like mine. But that's another story.

We've been so busy and so well taken care of... and fed and all that good stuff! We've been to amazing design shows and the Victoria & Albert Museum that I soooooo under-appreciated when I was living here as a teenager... and some wonderful boutiques and restaurants and I will get into those properly when I get home and can sort through all the images and information... and I promise to share it all with you but I've got to get running and meet my 14 new best friends!!

XOXO,

Jessica
