Style Report :: Sunglasses

It is a fabulously spectacular Tuesday morning here in Connecticut. Our temperatures are expected to climb  into the 70s, turning this into what could quite possibly be a fantastic beach day. Now, I have too much on my plate to make that dream a reality, but I do plan on sneaking out a bit this afternoon. Once my work is done this morning I will be heading over to a friend's house with a freshly made Salade Nicoise with farm-fresh lettuces and eggs. It's just too spectacular to be cooped up inside! It's a sunglasses day as well... I tend to keep a spare pair in my car because my eyes are quite sensitive to bright light. Even a cloudy day can hurt my eyes. I adore sunglasses. They are not only functional but they can transform any outfit. A pair of jeans and a simple white T looks altogether different when paired with sunglasses and a cute pair of shoes. I think it's fair to say I have a sunglasses obsession. I have a collection of them in different colors and styles. I tend to wear mainly my tortoise or black ones. I prefer them to be oversized. I think they're much more dramatic and much more fun. I've been swooning over a pair of Prada lovelies for over a year now. I first spied them in Bergdorf's on a cool wintry day... One day they will be mine... one day!

They're not for everyone... But I simply adore them... I like them best in black!

My daughter is of that age where she wants to blend in and be like everyone else. I, on the other hand, embrace my uniqueness... I am proud of my own individuality. I want to stand out. I am proud of who I am and what I've done and where I'm headed. I'm not quiet. I am not shy. I am certainly no wallflower. I am fun and vivacious and flirty... I love all the beauty that life has to offer and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't take notice of the sunshine, or the rainfall, or a budding tree... or the ocean... or a little red fox scampering across my back yard. The way I dress (myself as well as my home) reflects my personality. And the sunglasses I choose are no exception. Each pair reflects the person I am - somedays I am fun and flirty while others I'm more serious and focused.

What do your sunglasses say about you? Do you have one pair that you wear all the time, or do you have several from which to choose?

XOXO,
Jessica
