I couldn't think of anything to write about today... so taking Hopsy and Beth's lead. I'm posting a pretty typical day of my life.
6:15 - Up... was too hot and humid. Alexander slept in my bed, very fitfully. (Hubs was away last night) Set up coffee. (Usually program it the night before. Forgot!)
6:20 - Back in bed, check emails and watch the news
6:30 - Make cappuccino... frother is broker. Ack!
7:00 - Hop in the shower.Wash hair. Brush teeth. (Not in shower!)
7:30 - Wake up boys. Send oldest to shower
7:45 - Scream and yell and tell everyone to hustle... (This continues on and off for next 30 minutes!)
7:55 - Pour a glass of wine... Just kidding!!!
7:55 - Get kids a quick breakfast. Cereal for boys English Muffin for Rebecca.
8:00 - Scream at kids some more to hustle!
8:15 - Make sure teeth and hair are brushed
8:25 - Pack up the car with kids and back packs
8:30 - Arrive at school. Bid older two farewell and walk Alexander to his classroom. Hugs and kisses goodbye.
8:45 - Chit chat with a few parents and leave school
9:00 - Back home. Make another cappuccino with broken frother and some toast
9:15 - Toss a load of laundry into wash and bring laptop downstairs
9:20 - Turn on TV, watch whatever is on and answer emails to friends and regarding auction
10:00 - Switch laundry. Sort laundry upstairs. Clean kitchen (vacuum, mop, clean counters). Vacuum upstairs and clean bathrooms.
11:00 - Read some blogs. Greet Fed/Ex man who has my ice machine for my shoulder.
12:00 - Run errands... Open windows and sunroof and blast Jimmy Buffett on the stereo while driving! CVS to pick up meds for Monday's surgery... shampoos, soaps, Motrin, magazines... To Trader Joe's to pick up strawberries, canteloupe, milk, and assorted frozen items for next week (waffles, pancakes, broccoli, haricots vert) . Run to liquor store... replace the empty bottle of Pinot Grigio on kitchen counter
1:50 - Home. Put gorceries/wine/CVS stuff away. Switch laundry. Bake fruit and oatmeal bars for after school snack.
2:15 - Take fruit and oatmeal bars out from oven. Head outside with Diet Coke and book. Recline in sun in back yard.
3:00 - Inside. Wash dishes from oatmeal bars and cut into squares.
3:15 - Leave to pick up kids. Open all windows and skylight and blast more Jimmy Buffett from the stereo. It's a ragtop day... wish I had one instead of my superhuge and bulky SUV!
3:25 - Pull into parking lot at school. Turn music down slightly. Only slightly!
3:30 - Greeted by Alexander... and the other two shortly thereafter.
3:55 - Arrive home. Shoot husband a quick email. Ask if C's soccer is at 4 or 4:30?
4:00 - Toss dirty uniforms in to washing machine. Learn soccer is at 4:30. Good!
4:02 - Toss dirty Alexander into tub!
4:04 - When he is all settled get older two situated with snacks and send Christopher up to get changed for soccer.
4:05 - Notice lightbulb is making strange sound. Call husband.
4:08 - Remove dead lightbulb as instructed by husband. Strange sound stops.
4:25 - Take Christopher to soccer.
4:28 - Arrive at soccer and walk him inside.
4:32 - Return home.
4:35 - Put clean clothes in dryer
4:37 - Open bottle of Pinot Grigio. Ovesee Rebecca's homework.
4:38 - Sit on couch with chilled white wine. Put TV on for Alexander.
5:50 - Pick up Christopher from soccer
6:00 - Start dinner for kids. Leftover pizza from freezer and broccoli. Husband not home for dinner.
6:05 - Pour myself another glass of wine!
6:30 - Feed kids
7:00 - Oversee Christopher's homework
7:15 - Change in to PJs
7:30 - Send Rebecca in to shower
8:00 - Have kids get in PJs and make sure their teeth are brushed.
8:30 - Put TV on for Alexander. Organize kids clothes for following morning
9:00 - Put Alexander to bed. Kiss older two goodnight. Make shopping list for grocery store. (A must To Do on Friday morning). Read blogs!
