Alexander's preschool class has moved on from the butterfly study and has been learning about Claude Monet. To finish the study they had a lovely picnic where they painted a bridge much like the ones that appeared in his garden in Giverny. (I'll document with stories and photos later.) I made a special treat for everyone... Lilli pad cookies! Yes the green Lilli pads with pink flowers were my favorites! I also purchased little plastic frogs from a local party store, because girls might like flowers but boys like frogs! And we know there are lots of happy frogs hopping about in Monet's garden. I am pretty impressed with my cookie prowess! What do you all think? I will post a how-to over on the food blog later!
